If you would like a group fitting of 3 or more, an appointment is required. It is best for the dancer not to have Pointe Shoes fitted right after dance classes as her feet are swollen.

TO PREPARE FOR A POINTE SHOE FITTING

Feet should be clean and toe nails filed short so they do not protrude past the flesh of the toes, but never so short that they hurt. Always file straight across to avoid hangnails! Please, no jeans! Your body alignment needs to be seen by the fitter and you will be required to do many of the things you do in Ballet class during your fitting.

Convertible or footless tights should be worn as well as comfortable but close fitted clothing. If this is your first Pointe Shoe fitting, please ask your teacher to come with you to your appointment. If she/he is not able to, make sure you know if you are allowed to use toe pads, as this determines how to fit your Pointe Shoes. If this is not your first Pointe Shoe fitting, please bring your last pair of shoes and all that you wear in them!

Please allow enough time for your fitting. It could take up to 1 hour!

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT POINTE SHOE FITTING

Pointe shoes are fit to support the foot, so they do not have grow room in them.

Pointe shoes are not comfortable shoes, but not so uncomfortable to cause excruciating pain. If you need to get approval from your teacher for the fit, please do not wear, pull the strings, or sew the ribbons on until everything is approved. Going En Pointe is extremely exciting, fun and very rewarding!

Please make sure you have your Pointe shoes fit by an expert, your feet are too important not to!!
